Vivian M. Snavely, age 87, died Sun, Jan. 4, 2015 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina. She was born in the home near Rice, KS to George & Lela (Smith) Trost.
She graduated from Concordia High School. She married LeRoy Snavely on May 5, 1948 in Huscher. He preceded her on April 19, 2007. Vivian was a bank clerk for most of her working career at the First National Bank & later a clerk for ALCO. She was a member of the Huscher & Trinity United Methodist Churches were she was actively involved in various clubs and activities. Vivian enjoyed sewing & making clothes for her daughters.
She is survived by her daughters, Janet Easter (Ted), Mt. Hope, JoAnn Williamson, Concordia & Judy Jernigan (Gene), Carbondale; sisters, Mary Garrigues, Great Bend & Carol Adams (Dewey), Clay Center; brother in law, Armand Snavely (Jane), Concordia; grandchildren, Travis Easter (Abby), Torrey Easter (Kesa) & Tanya Duncan (Jayson) & great grandchildren, Tyler, Mikalah, Toben, Kael & Eleanor.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy; parents; sister, Elsie Morgan.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Thurs., Jan. 8, 2015 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home with Rev. Joe Koechner officiating. Burial will follow at Nelson Center Cemetery, Huscher. Visitation will be from 9 am to 9 pm with family greeting friends from 6:30-7:30 pm, Wed. at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
