Marjorie F. Baxa, Age 75

Marjorie Faye Baxa, the daughter of Harry Brown and Margaret (Marshall) Brown, was born March 27, 1939 at rural Republic, KS and passed away on January 7, 2015 at her home at rural Republic, KS at the age of 75 years, 9 months, and 10 days.
Marjorie grew up in the Republic area, attending the local public schools and graduating from Republic High School in 1957. On April 16, 1960, she was united in marriage to Dale Baxa and to this union was born Steve and Denise. The couple made their home in rural Republic, KS.
Marjorie was a homemaker and assisted with the farm operation through the years. She also managed the Rep City Inn Café, Republic, KS for 13 years until her retirement.
She was a member of the Republic United Methodist Church, the MNO and the 8-12 Bridge Club. She enjoyed bridge and taught classes for several years.
She was preceded in death by grandson: Dylan G. Woodward, her parents, three brothers: Curtis, Garald, and Vic Brown, and sister-in-law: Arlene Baxa.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Dale Baxa of the rural Republic, KS, one son, Steve (Sheri) Baxa of Salina, KS; Denise (Jeff) Woodward of Belleville, KS;
Grandchildren: Haley Baxa, Drew Baxa, Derek Baxa, Maggie Woodward, and Riley Woodward; two brothers, Robert Brown of Webber, KS and Harry C. (Maryann) Brown of Belleville, KS; and sister-in-law, Vera Corp of Portland, OR; nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Cremation was selected and memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 12, 2015 at the United Methodist Church, Republic, KS with Pastor Roger Walls, officiating.
Inurnment will be at the Lake Cemetery, rural Republic, KS.
Friends may call from One PM until Nine PM on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS where the family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday.
Memorials are suggested to the Republic United Methodist Church.
