Betty Johnson, Age 91

Betty Irene Johnson, the daughter of Archie Lewis Larson and Esta Mae (Swafford) Larson, was born December 23, 1923 in the Union Township near Scandia, KS, and passed away on March 16, 2015 at Republic County-Long Term Care, Belleville, KS at the age of 91 years. 3 months, and 13 days.

On Feb. 3, 1945 at Belleville, KS, she was united in marriage to Harold D. Johnson and to this union was born: Allen, Neal, and Randall.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Helen Maurine (Larson) Holmgren.

Betty is survived by her husband Harold D. Johnson, of Belleville, KS; three sons, Allen D. (Marcy) Johnson of Belleville, KS; Neal W. (Susan) Johnson of Bartlesville, OK; and Randall L. (Stephanie) Johnson of Johns Creek, GA; 9 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren with one on the way; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 20, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, Belleville, KS with Pastor Emily Meckley, officiating. Interment will be at the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS. Visitation will be from 1PM until 9PM on Wednesday, and from 9AM until 9PM on Thursday with the family greeting friends from 6PM until 8 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church, Belleville or the Republic County Historical Museum.
