Farmway CEO delivers educational talk to Beloit Rotary Club

BELOIT, KS - At their weekly luncheon Tuesday, Beloit Rotary Club heard an educational presentation about the cooperative structure and the progressive actions taken to help its owners succeed from one of Mitchell County's largest businesses, Farmway Co-op, Inc.

Art Duerksen, CEO of Farmway, spoke to the members about the facility expansions and improvements at Farmway's grain locations, the technology advancements in the agronomy department, and the increased services for fuel and propane customers.

In introducing Duerksen, Rotary member Janice Bassford, noted her appreciation of the safety culture at Farmway including regular assessment and upgrades of grain structures.

Duerksen shared that the cooperative's success couldn't happen without the support of its owners, the customers that utilize the products and services. "I come to work every day for one purpose - to help our owners succeed," said Duerksen. "This is our promise at Farmway and each member of the team strives to do that every single day."

Farmway is an agricultural cooperative serving customers in Mitchell, Jewell, Ottawa, Lincoln, Riley, Washington, Clay, Cloud, Republic and surrounding communities since 1911. To learn more about Farmway, visit www.farmwaycoop.com.
