“Run For the Hills!” kicks off Manhattan's Flint Hills Day Event

Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to "Run for the Hills!" on Sat., May 2, at the fourth annual fun run/walk sponsored by the North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging (NC-FH AAA).
Proceeds from the race benefit "Solutions for Seniors." Funds support essential services needed by many Kansas seniors and their caregivers including in-home care services, Medicare counseling and more than 2,040 Friendship Meals served every day at 41 senior centers or delivered by volunteers to homes through Meals on Wheels.
The race will begin and end at the Flint Hills Center located at 401 Houston St., Manhattan, KS. Registration begins at 7 a.m. with the race starting at 9 a.m. Awards and prizes will be given to the top finisher in the male and female categories. Medals will be given to the top male and female 5K finishers in each age group.
To register for the run/walk, contact NC-FH AAA or go online to the Manhattan Running Company at manhattanrunningco.com. Registration prior to April 10 is $25 for the chip timed 5K and $20 for 2 mile walkers.
