Beloit Baseball May 21st...Beloit 2 Lyons Chase 0....Lakin 4 Beloit 0...Lakin goes to state Beloit 13-9

The Beloit Trojan baseball defeated Lyons - Chase 2-0 in the Regional Semi Finals....then lost to Lakin 4-0 in the 3a Regional Championship game at Lyons on Thursday May 21st.

In the first game Jeremy Eilert pitched a gem...scattering 8 hits for a complete game shut out and the win.....Eilert pitched out of a bases loaded nobody out jam in the 6th inning...Beloit scored one run in the 4th and one run in the 5th.

In the Championship game....pitching was excellent on both sides...Lakin wins 4-0...behind senior Right hander Rider Yakel...he struck out 8 and gave up 2 hits...Luke Hesting went the distance for Beloit as well striking out 7 and giving up 2 hits...Lakin is now 17-5 and will compete at state next Thursday in Manhattan...Beloit ends the year 13-9.
