Beth Gillis, Age 58

Beth Ann Gillis of Gaylord Kansas passed away May 22, 2015 at the age of 58. She was born on November 30, 1956 to Albert and Evelyn Robinson at Smith Center, Kansas. Beth was a graduate of the 1974 class at Lebanon High School in Lebanon Kansas. She loved sewing quilts, her pets, spending time with her family, yellow roses, and loved the cardinal birds, and prior to health conditions she also liked to camp out and go fishing. She worked hard to raise her children. She worked at Griffith's plant in Downs. She also worked at Montgomery Inn in Downs as a waitress/cook, Northside Cafe in Cawker City as a cook. She also worked at the Gaylord Cafe and spent many years working at Peterson's in Smith Center and also worked at Dollar General and the Hospital in Smith Center before she had to give up working. She was also on the Gaylord Fire Department for a few years after she moved to Gaylord. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Larry Wyman, Brother Jim Robinson, and grandson Eric Christmann.

Beth is survived by her husband Robert Gillis of Gaylord, three children: Kimberly Wiles (Wesley) of Cawker City Kansas, Travis Christmann of Gaylord Kansas, and Virgil Christmann (Kryschella) of Ellsworth Kansas; one sister Beverly Feldmann (Dave) of Athol; two sister-in-law's Joyce Robinson and Sarah Wildfong (Bret) of Beloit Kansas; Father-in-law Keith Gillis of Beloit Kansas; Grandchildren: Austin, Kaiden, Marcus, Zander, LeiLanie, Levi, Raelynn, Allison, Alyssa, Clayton, and Khloe; and many nieces, nephews and friends. There will be no visitation as cremation was chosen. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 30, 2015 at the Gaylord Cemetery.
