Bessie (Stichka) Reeve, daughter of Vaslovic, who took the name Frank, and Anna (Koci) Stichka, was born on March 4, 1915 on her parents farm northwest of Nelson, Nebraska. She passed away on May 23, 2015 at the Superior Good Samaritan Society in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 100 years, 2 months and 19 days.

Bessie attended the Oak community Church at Oak, Nebraska for nine years where she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, and was baptized on June 14, 1987. Prior years she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as treasure of the Guild; as Deacon for two years and a long standing member of the afternoon circle. After the passing of her husband Clyde, she chose to attend the Nelson Community United Church of Christ.

To supplement the families income, during the years her children were home, Bessie was a housekeeper and a washing specialist. In 1964, she began working at the Nelson Good Samaritan Home as dishwasher and cook and later years as Head cook; working for 12 years . She retired at 62 years of age.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank and Anna, her sisters, Alice, Elizabeth and Anna and brothers, Edward, Anton and William; her husband Clyde; her sons-in-law, Robert Bell, husband of Dorothy, John Troudt, husband of Patsy, James Schnieder, husband of Carol and daughter-in-law, Leta , wife of Norman, granddaughter Norma Reeve and granddaughter-in-law, Candice Reeve.

Survivors include her sons, Norman of Nelson, Nebraska, Terry and wife Julie of Edgewood, New Mexico; daughters, Dorothy Bell of Torrington, Wyoming, Carol Schnieder of Hastings, Nebraska and Patsy Troudt of Nelson, Nebraska. 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren; brother Emil Stichka and wife Geraldine of Ruskin, Nebraska, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
