Stella Mans, Age 80

Stella Marie Mans died Wednesday August 5, 2015 at the Osborne County Memorial Hospital at the age of 80. Stella was born December 27, 1934 in Tipton, Kansas to John and Katherine (Gasper) Schroeder. She was one of six sisters born to the Schroeders. Stella attended the Holy Corner School House and then attended and graduated from Tipton High School. On September 16, 1954 Stella was united in marriage to Bill Mans of Osborne, Ks. To this union was born four children - Rick, Renee, Randy & Russell. Bill and Stella celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in September 2014. Stella loved her family and spent many hours with them, as well as playing cards, gardening, cooking, and dancing. One of her favorite polka songs was "Wooden Heart". She was a nurse aide at the Osborne Co. Mem. Hospital for many years and was a devout member of the St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Osborne, Ks. She is survived by her husband Bill of the home, daughter Renee Miner and husband Kendall of Russell, Ks., sons Rick and wife Jeanne of Osborne, Ks., Randy and wife Janet of Garden Plain, Ks. and Russell and wife Carri of Osborne, Ks.; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Stella is also survived by her four sisters Delores (Wendall) Brummer, Laurine Schmitt, Eleanor (Merwyn) Pahls, Carolyn (Richard) Schmitt and brother-in-law Virgil Palen.
