Robert Cramer, Age 95

Robert Cramer was born on January 21, 1918 to William and Anna (Appleton) Cramer in Hardy, NE. He passed away on January 9, 2014 in Lubbock, TX at the age of 95.
Robert joined the Navy in 1936 right after high school. He served in the China Seas and Panama as a radio operator until 1942 when he was accepted into naval flight school, earning his wings in 1945. He served a tour of duty as pilot at the rank of Lt. for the U.S. Navy flying off carriers during the Korean War and achieved rank of Lt. Commander in the Naval Reserves after leaving active duty. He graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln in 1956, with a B.S. degree in Geology. Robert worked as a petroleum geologist in Moorcroft WY, Sidney NE, Denver CO, Rising Star TX, and May TX until retired in 1983. He is survived by his sisters, Margaret Kinyoun and husband Dale of Superior NE, Lois Grueber of Mitchell NE; his children, Christina M. Bauer of Denver CO, Robert L Cramer JR of Sahuarita AZ, Susan A. Cramer of Denver CO; Thomas L Cramer of Lubbock TX, and David B Cramer of Milliken CO; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anne; Anne Appleton Cramer, Nelda Cramer; brother, William B Cramer; sisters Berniece and Marilyn Cramer; grandson, Michael J. Trujillo; other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside Memorial Service Held At: Saturday, September 19, 2015 at 10 am, Hardy Cemetery, Hardy NE with Full Military Honors
