Ruth Jeanne Bombardier, age 91, left this earthly life on Tues., Aug. 9, 2016 at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, KS. She was born on June 25, 1925 in Gaylord, Kansas to Frederick C. & Otha F. (Fletcher) Mugridge. Ruth was a 1943 graduate of Gaylord High School, Gaylord, Kansas. She married Isadore "Izzy" Bombardier on June 3, 1946 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2012. Ruth was a homemaker, but more importantly was always beside Izzy, supporting him and their family and the community of Concordia. Ruth was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Aux., Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, the Altar Society, Hospital Aux., Volunteer at Mt. Joseph Nursing Home & a host of other organizations. Ruth's focus was on family, friends and volunteering. Ruth was always greeting everyone with her pleasant smile and loving demeanor. She tried to give each person a little encouragement and compliment every time she spoke to them. 

Ruth is survived by her son, Vincent Bombardier (Janette), Olathe; daughter, Linda West (Stephen), Colwich; son in law, Robert Haworth, Salina; sister, Lois Stone, Concordia; grandchildren, Marcus West (Sarah), Wichita, Amy Summers, Colwich, Shawn West, Wichita, Stephanie Huddleston (Scott), Shawnee, Stacie Lopez (Ruben), Plattsmouth, NE., Alissa Janey (Greg), Shakopee, MN, Aaron Bombardier (Xiaowei), Olathe, Kevin Bombardier, Iowa City, IA., Sara Guidry (Parker), Shawnee, Kyle Haworth (Ciara), Cheney & Ryan Haworth (Lindsey), Salina; great grandchildren; Jocelin, Jaden, Makenna, Sidney, Gram, Skylar, Nicholas, Alayna, Josie, Landon, Prudence, Cecilia, Paisley & step grandchildren, Rylee, Haylee and Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Isadore "Izzy"; a daughter, Paula Haworth & her parents, two brothers, Paul and Carl Mugridge. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 am, Monday, August 15, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Fr. David Metz officiating. Burial will follow at St. Concordia Cemetery, Concordia. Visitation will be from 12-8 pm, Sun., Aug. 14, 2016 with family greeting friends from 4 pm. until Vigil service followed by an Altar Society Rosary at 6 pm. all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.

The family suggests memorials to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or Cloud County Health Care of Concordia in care of the funeral home.
