SECOND MAN ARRESTED FOR THE MURDER OF DARRELL HILL

This from Mitchell County Attorney Mark Noah........Late afternoon on the 9th of September.....new evidence concerning an additional defendant was made known to Noah

in the murder of Darrell Hill.....On Saturday morning Sept 10th....Noah contacted the Defense Attorney and advised her of the situation. She filed a motion to continue. A

conference call was held on Monday morning September 12th....and the matter was continued til the October 5th Motion day for re-scheduling.

Charges of 1st Degree Murder and Interference with Law Enforcement were filed against 58 year old Merlyn Hoesly of Simpson on Monday September 12th and he was

arrested on Tuesday September 13th. Hoesly had his first appearance on September 14th and The Public Defenders office was appointed to represent him. It is

alleged that Mr Hoesly was an accessory to the crime.
