Trisha Eileen Shepard, 69, of Davenport, NE passed away on October 14, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society in Superior, Nebraska. She was born on August, 13, 1947 to Patrick C. and Doris Elaine (Salyard) O'Grady. When Doris re-married Rollo Elliott Gass on February 15, 1950 Trisha was already her Daddy's little girl. As he told it, Rollo fell in love with that curly headed girl the first time he met her.

She attended Edgar schools, graduating with the class of 1965. She graduated from the University of Nebraska, and was still rooting for the Cornhuskers in her final days in the nursing home. She was a hard worker and a bundle of energy, rarely sitting still. She wore many hats and had many titles. She was a beautician, beloved teacher, manager, city worker, caregiver, hostess, mother to countless fur-babies, aunt, cousin, friend and sister. If she loved you, you were family whether you were a blood relative or not.

She was always willing to help others. She was the President of the Edgar High Alumni Association and an active member of the Edgar American Legion Auxiliary. While living in Omaha she helped care for her grandmother, Marjorie Harms. She moved back to her hometown of Edgar to care for her parents as their health began to decline.

She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor, she was always the life of the party.

Trisha was preceded in death by her parents, Doris Elaine Gass and Rollo Elliott Gass of Edgar, NE and Patrick C. O'Grady of Oklahoma City, OK.

She is survived by her brothers: Michael Gass, Joe O'Grady, Sean O'Grady, Sisters: Judy Bunger, Colleen Laine, Rosie O'Grady, nieces and nephews, many relatives and a host of friends. Trisha's parting wishes were that we live like she did. Love one another, and let that love spread to others.
