Dean Reynolds, Age 67

Dean Reynolds, 67, passed away November 1, 2016 at Integris Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City, OK surrounded by family. He was born in Smith Center, KS on July 20, 1949 to Lawrence and Dorothy Reynolds. He grew up on a farm in Claudell and attended school in Kirwin until his junior year. He graduated from Kensington High School in 1967. On June 29, 1970 and May 10, 1972 respectively, he welcomed his two children, a daughter and son, who were the most important part of his life. He also loved his five grandkids.

Dean is survived by his children, Teena (Dave) Carl of Bixby, OK and Toby (Kim) Reynolds of Smith Center, KS; his two brothers, Dale (Debbie) Reynolds of Pueblo, CO and Darel (Janet) Reynolds of Agra, KS; his three sisters, DeAnn (Jon) Epley of Fullerton, NE, Darla (Frank) VanMatre of Cedar, KS and Debra Saia (Gary Snell) of Frontenac, KS; his five grandchildren, Taran, Tamara and Mazie Carl, Trystan and Lynzie Reynolds, his aunt Jane Elder of Wichita, KS, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend Krista Farster and many other friends that were very special to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Dorothy Reynolds.

A celebration of Dean's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at the Kirwin Methodist Church, Kirwin, KS, with Pastors Deb Harvey & Janet Reynolds officiating. There will not be a public visitation as cremation was chosen. Inurnment will be in the Kirwin Cemetery, Kirwin, KS. Memorials may be given to the Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute, Integris Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City, OK in care of the funeral chapel.
