Drew Beam, E2 - #29

Drew Beam, Mankato, has been selected for the Division II East Squad. He is a 2017 graduate of Rock Hills High School and plans to attend Army Basic Training in July and specialize in Military Police. Football statistics and accomplishments include: 160 tackles, 3 forced fumbles, 3 caused fumbles, 1,400 all purpose yards, 750 total yards, 20 total TD's, 4 interceptions. Drew was named 2016 K-Preps All State Return Specialist, 2016 Topeka Capital Journal All State Honorable Mention at tight end, 2016 District 4 First Team Defensive Back, 2016 District 4 Second Team Right End, 2016 District 4 Second Team Return Specialist. Rock Hills made it to the State Playoffs in 2015. Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: 3 year basketball starter and letterman, 3rd place team finish in state golf in 2015, 2 time NPL powerlifting champion in the 123 & 132 weight class, 3rd place finish in state powerlifting in 2014 (123 lb), 4th place finish in state powerlifting in 2015 (132 lb), and 3rd place finish in state powerlifting in 2016 (140 lb). Activities and honors outside school include 2nd place finish at 2015 Youth Range Camp, member of the United Methodist Church and the Mankato Youth Group. Hobbies and interests include sports, hunting, fishing and girls. Activities and honors in school include: Student Council President, Senior Class Treasurer, Basketball Captain 2014-2017, Football Captain 2015-2016, Power Lifting 2013-2017, National Honor Society 2015-2017, All School Play 2015 & 2016. Drew's parents are Rod and Deann Beam, Mankato.
