Neil Lienberger, Age 97

Neil H. Lienberger passed away Monday January 15, 2018 at the Residential Care Center, Beloit, KS at the age of 97, 10 days after his beloved wife Martha Ann Lienberger. Neil was born October 2, 1920 to Claude and Flora Lienberger on the farm, Southwest of Jewell, KS. After High School Graduation, Neil began his lifelong career of farming, which was put on hold when he was called to serve his country during WWII. He served from 1942-1946 in the 469th Service Squadron, in the United States Army, being discharged as a Sargent. Neil married Martha Ann Fletcher October 23, 1948. They made their home Southwest of Jewell, KS. in Brownscreek Township. Neil and Martha enjoyed traveling in their younger years, camping, fishing, and numerous winters in their South Texas Home. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Carmen Marr, brother James W. Lienberger, Great Nephew Michael Scott Lienberger. Survivors include numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Friday, January 19 at St. John's Catholic Church. A vigil service will be at 7 PM Thursday at the Roberts Family Funeral Home, & visitation will be from 2 PM until the rosary service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice or Mitchell County Hospital Resident Care Center.
