Fatality Accident at Landfill north of Lawrence Friday Jan 4th

A Fatality accident occurred at a landfill north of Lawrence,Kansas Friday Morning January 4th.....According to the Kansas Highway Patrol it happened at about 7;10 am Friday January 4th at Hamms Landfill in Jefferson County. 59 year old Mark Wilson of Lawrence was killed when he was pinned between a truck and a dock. Wilson was the Tipper Operator...The Semi Trailer Truck was being driven by 29 year old Todd Dunstan of Beloit....According to the KHP report...the Truck tractor semi trailer was at Hamms landfill dumping trash....The semi was backing onto the tipper...The Tipper Operator was between the truck and the dock pinning the Operator against the dock causing fatal injuries....The accident is still under investigation.
