Luella A. Eitzmann, age 97

Luella Adeline Eitzmann, the daughter of Henry Heye Aden and Clara Margretha (Lampe) Aden, was born July 7, 1921 in rural Humboldt, NE and passed away on February 12, 2019 at Parkview Haven Nursing Home, Deshler, NE at the age of 97 years, 7 months, and 5 days.

Luella was baptized on August 3, 1921 and later confirmed on April 5, 1936 at St. Johns Lutheran Church near Auburn, NE. She attended country school District 74 for five years in Nemaha County and later attended and graduated from Bratton Union Consolidated School near Humboldt, NE. She then did domestic work, helping young mothers and also aided in the care of her sisters.

On June 23, 1946, she was united in marriage to Lenard Eitzmann and to this union was born Harlan, Linda, and Phyllis. The couple made their home near Hardy, NE, later retiring from farming and moving to Byron, NE in 1974.

Luella was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Byron where she was active in Women's Groups, Bible Study and also was a Sunday School Teacher.

Luella was a homemaker, raising three children, but also worked part time at the Byron Café as a waitress and also cleaned at the Co-op Elevator.

Luella was preceded in death by her parents: husband, Lenard in 2015; daughter, Linda Douglas; one sister Erma Brewer and one brother Raymond Aden.

She is survived by one Son, Harlan (Linda Marie) Eitzmann of Hardy, NE; one Daughter, Phyllis (Frank) Habbart of Salina, KS; five grandchildren: Bryan (Stacy) Eitzmann of Kansas City, MO, Nicole (Chris) Kallenbach of BelAire, KS, Michael Habbart of Wichita, KS, Julie Hutchinson of Lawrence, KS, and Chelsea Douglas of Houston, Texas; 8 great grandchildren: Luke, Jack and Annabelle Eitzmann, Stuart and Alexandria Habbart, Aria Hutchinson, and Audrey and Zoe Kallenbach; one Sister, Velma Morton of Auburn, NE; Son-in-law, David Douglas of Houston, Texas; Sister-in-laws, Elsa Michel of Auburn, NE and Hilda Eitzmann of Byron, NE; other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, February 18, 2019 at St. Peters Lutheran Church, Byron, NE with Pastor Breen Sipes, officiating.

Interment will be at St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery, Byron, NE.

Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS.
