David Snowbarger, 78

David Snowbarger, 78 of Concordia, Kansas went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at his home. He was born February 1, 1941 in Sylvia, Kansas to George and Leona Snowbarger.
He met his wife at Bethany Nazarene College and they were married on February 10, 1961. They were united in marriage for 58 years. David was a farmer and also worked 34 years for ADM Milling in Dodge City, Kansas. He was an active member of Dodge City Church of the Nazarene for over 60 years and then a member of 9 years at Concordia Wesleyan Church until his home going. David and his wife Mary loved to go on Mission Trips. They shared the love of Jesus in Brazil, Vanuatu, and Ecuador. They also enjoyed traveling across the United States on several bus trips. Throughout his life David enjoyed music, gardening and growing flowers. Whenever there were flowers blooming David made sure his wife had fresh bouquets to enjoy inside. He also loved to play table games and work puzzles. In his later years he really enjoyed being a grandpa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. David was a dedicated husband, father and grandpa.
He is preceded in death by his parents; George and Leona (Jones) Snowbarger, Brother, Dr. Marvin Snowbarger, Sister, Wynonna (Snowbarger) Burkhart.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary (Krawitz) Snowbarger; Vandi (Rev. James) Lund, Chad Snowbarger, Chri Snowbarger, Jarrell (Sonja Scott) Snowbarger, Craig (Gail Burney) Snowbarger. His legacy leaves 20 grand-children, and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his twin brother, Rev. Daniel Snowbarger, Sisters, Fern Lewis and Alice Tallent.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, February 15th, 2019 at the Concordia Wesleyan Church. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Concordia Wesleyan Church. Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, KS is assisting the family with arrangements.
