Paul C. Clark, 90

Paul C. Clark, 90, of Topeka, KS, passed away on May 21, 2019 in Topeka, KS.
Paul Curtis Clark was born on the farm in Courtland to Earl and Gladys (Wolfe) Clark on July 30, 1928. He was a graduate of Courtland High School in 1947 and joined the U.S. Army shortly after in 1948. Paul served during the Korean Conflict and completed his Army career as a Master Sergeant in 1952. During this time, he married his wife, Glenna (Freed), of 69 wonderful years in June of 1950. He then proceeded to attend Kansas State University where he earned a BS in Agriculture and Applied Sciences before a lengthy career with the Kansas State Highway Design Department and the Division of Water Resources.
Longtime residents of Manhattan, Kansas, Paul and Glenna welcomed three children and were thereafter blessed with seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, all of whom he enjoyed immensely. He was an avid fisherman and regularly hunted alongside his dog, Prince. When he wasn't found outdoors in the vegetable garden, you could often find him sneaking candy to his grandkids or watching his KC Royals play baseball with his faithful pup, Jay-Jay, at his side.
There are numerous ways that Paul will be remembered...whether it may be when a Sonic commercial comes on the tv or while passing the Werther's in the candy aisle...but most of all he'll be remembered as a wonderful father, a devoted grandfather and a cherished husband.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Gladys (Wolfe) Clark; brothers, Edwin and Taylor Clark; and sister, Evelyn (Clark) Case.
He is missed dearly by his wife Glenna; son, David (Christine) Clark; son, Gregory (Angie) Clark; daughter, Michele (Steve) Clark; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, May 24, 2019 at the Courtland Cemetery, Courtland, KS, with Pastor Sandra Jellison-Knock, officiating. Interment will follow the services.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Ft. Riley Honor Detail.
