Arlene L. Bray, 73

Arlene L. Bray, age 73, of Concordia, left this earthly life on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Mt. Joseph Senior Village, Concordia. She was born on Feb. 14, 1946 in Scandia, Kan., to Reynold A. and Luella M. (Buthman) Nystrom.
She graduated from Scandia High School and then Brown Mackie College. She married Leland Bray on April 21, 1974 in Scandia, Kan., at the United Methodist Church. Arlene worked as a secretary at the NRCS office in Concordia until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Leland, Concordia; daughter, Kari Boden (John), Concordia; son, Travis Bray (Brandi), Scandia; grandchildren, Gunner, Conner and Ryan Boden and Kaylee, Natalee, Lanee and Lyndee Bray; and her sisters, Carole Nystrom, Scandia, Helen Lute (Larry), Gladstone, Mo., Darlene Matlock (Art), Rockton, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family selected cremation and a memorial service will be Friday, Sept. 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, 325 W. 6th St., Concordia, Kan., with Pastor Sandra Jellison-Knock officiating. Private family burial will be in the Saron Lutheran Cemetery, Concordia. Friends may sign the register book from 1-8 pm Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
