Martha Ann Lienberger passed away Friday January 5, 2018 at the Residential Care Center, Beloit, KS. Martha Ann was born September 29, 1922 to Tom and Elizabeth Fletcher of Tipton, KS. After High School Graduation, Martha worked as a telephone operator, and at the ASCS office in Jewell, Co, and she farmed alongside her husband, which was her favorite job of all. Martha married Neil H. Lienberger October 23, 1948. They made their home Southwest of Jewell, KS. in Brownscreek Township. Martha enjoyed everything that had to do with spending time outdoors, gardening, tending to flowers, bird watching, and handiwork, tatting was her specialty. She often said that she "had more yarn than Wal-Mart", which was so true. Martha and Neil spent many Winters in Texas until their later years when their health wouldn't allow it.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Tuesday, January 9 at St. John's Catholic Church followed by burial in Jewell Cemetery. A vigil service will be at 7 PM Monday, January 8 & visitation will be from 1 PM until the vigil service at the Roberts Family Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice or Mitchell County Hospital Resident Care Center.
