George DeBauche, Age 86

George E. DeBauche, age 86, entered into rest, Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kansas. He was born on June 29, 1931, in Palmer, Kansas to Anthony "Tony" J. & Blanche A. (Ouellette) DeBauche. George grew up in Palmer and was a 1949 Linn Rural High School graduate. George served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He married Grace Ann Leiszler on April 4, 1959, at Greenleaf, Kansas, and recently celebrated 59 years of marriage. George was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, VFW, Elks and Moose Lodge all of Concordia, Kansas. George owned and operated Chicken George's Restaurant and also his own liquor store, George's Liquor for 38 years, retiring in 2005. George enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, golfing and most of all spending time with all his family.

He is survived by his wife Grace Ann of the home in Concordia; daughter, Suzy Hendrickson (Rob), Grand Haven, MI.; 2 sons, Brad DeBauche (Traci), Fairbury, NE.; Greg DeBauche (Alice), Wichita, KS.; sister, Edna Gieber Rogge, Clay Center, KS.; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles; sister, Ruth Evans.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a Parish Vigil at 6 p.m. with the family greeting friends after the Parish Vigil, all at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, with Fr. David Metz officiating. Burial will follow at St. Concordia Catholic Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post #76 of Concordia. The family suggests memorials to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital c/o Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
