Frankie J. Sjolander, 88

Frankie J. Sjolander, daughter of W.F. Horton and Hattie (Thomas) Horton, was born August 11, 1930 in rural Callahan County, Texas, and passed away on August 6, 2019 at the Nicol Nursing Home, Glasco, Kansas, at the age of 88.
Frankie was united in marriage to Charles W. Johnston on January 20, 1952 and to this union five children were born, Marilyn, Clarissa, Charles, Dave and Perry. Charles Johnston passed away in 1982. Frankie was united in marriage to Alvin C, Sjolander on January 27, 1991.
Frankie was a Registered Nurse and worked as a health nurse of State of Kansas and Republic County, RN at St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia, KS, and owned the Haggman-Wires Drug store in Scandia, KS, for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.F and Hattie Horton; husbands, Charles W. Johnston and Alvin C. Sjolander; three sisters, Pat Black, Kaye Love and Faye Rhodes.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn Ruppard of Sinking Spring, PA, and Clarissa Metler of Bove, MN; three sons, Dr. Charles (Beverly) Johnston of Las Vegas, NV, Dave (Kristen) Johnston of Sedgwick, KS, and Perry (Tisha) Johnston of Scandia, KS; 10 grandchildren, Simon, Sarah, Alana, Daniel, Ayden, Tyler, Paden, Billy, Angie and Jeremy; 15 great grandchildren, Haley, Charlie, Reagan, Dashiell, Marlowe, Julian, Finch, Evelyn, Allie, Trey, Christopher, Lilly, Andrea, Kaily and Arlo; sister, Carrie Cole of Irving, TX; nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, August 12, 2019, at Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel, Belleville, KS, conducted by, Pastor Sandra Jellison-Knock.
Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery, Scandia, KS.
Memorials may be given to Frankie Sjolander Memorial Fund.
