Dorothy Ellen Hintz

Downs, KS: Dorothy Ellen Hintz, 91, died March 31, 2011. She was born July 24, 1919 in Lincoln, Nebraska to David and Julia (Smalley) Jones.

She is survived by a son, Michael (Claudia Sue) Hintz, Topeka, KS; two grandchildren, Troy (Nanette) Hintz of Victorville, CA and Katrina (Terry) Long of Downs, KS; and five great-grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service at the United Methodist Church, Downs, KS on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. There will be a visitation before the service from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. Dorothy's family will greet her Nebraska friends at Odean Colonial Chapel from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2011. A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. on April 8 at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, NE.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or the Downs Roadside Park.
