Steve Joseph Ordich, the son of Steve and Rita (Russell) Ordich, was born on June 25, 1971 in Superior, Nebraska. He passed away on January 13, 2024 at the Brodstone Healthcare at Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 52 years, 6 months and 19 days.
Joe along with his siblings grew up in Superior and attended school in Superior and was a graduate of Superior High School and he also attended three years at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. Out of College he worked for his grandpa Charlie Russell and Arden Russell on the farm. He also did woodworking with Gene Bruening. Anyone that shopped Valley Lumber or Ace Hardware was always greeted by Joe, with his helpful knowledge and pleasantry smile. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on computers, shooting sports and reloading his own ammunition. He liked watching the science channel, and was amazed with astrology and space.
Joe was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knight of Columbus.
Joe is survived by his parents, Steve and Rita; his brother, Scott Alan and wife Susan of Dallas, Texas; and his sister, Nichole Marie Slaven and husband Steve of Ogden, Utah; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Mass of Christian Burial held at St Joseph Catholic Church, Superior, Nebraska, Friday, January 19, 2024 at 2 pm. A Rosary will be recited at 1:30 pm before his funeral. Rev. Ferdinand Boehme will officiate.
Burial will be in Webber Cemetery, Webber, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to American Diabetes Association.
Visitation will be from 4 pm to 8 pm on Thursday with the family present from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home, 750 N. Commercial, Superior, Nebraska 68978 Phone 402-879-3900
