Gregory Alan Hiserote, a beloved member of the Beloit and Salina communities, passed away on May 22, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and love. Gregory was born on March 1, 1959 in Beloit, Kansas, to his parents Merle Hiserote and Mary Crissman.
Throughout his life, Gregory touched the hearts of many with his warm and caring personality. He dedicated many years of hard work to Catlins IGA of Beloit and showcased his culinary skills as a professional fry cook at Sonic in both Beloit and Salina. Gregory's commitment to his work was commendable and he built lasting relationships with colleagues and customers alike.
In his free time, Gregory found joy in simple pleasures such as fishing, spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, and listening to music by Dr. Hook. His hobbies included taking his dogs for walks by the river and creating precious memories with his grandson, Sebastian.
Education was important to Gregory, who attended St. John's School, graduated from Glasco High in 1978, and furthered his skills at Beloit Vo-Tech. His dedication to learning was evident in all aspects of his life.
Among Gregory's proudest accomplishments were celebrating 10 years of sobriety, witnessing the success of his children Johnathon and Briana as they navigated through life, and cherishing the presence of his eight adoring grandchildren.
Gregory will be deeply missed by his surviving family members including his children, Johnathon Hiserote and Briana Hiserote; sisters, Cindy Siebert (Roger) and Jolene Miller (Mark); brother, Todd Crissman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
He is now reunited in peace with his father, Merle Hiserote; mother, Mary Crissman; paternal grandparents, Virgil and Elsie Hiserote; maternal grandparents, Jack and Anna Reiter; Aunt Doris Shramek; Uncles Frank and Forrest Hiserote; as well as other beloved relatives who have passed before him.
Gregory Alan Hiserote's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 7, at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Beloit.
