8 Man Division II West Squad 2024

Beloit to host 39th Annual 8 Man All Star Games Saturday, June 8. The Division II All Star Game will be played at 1:30 p.m.

Joseph Anderson, Satanta, has been selected for the Division II West team. He is a 2024 graduate of Satanta High School. He is 6' tall and weighs 200 pounds. His offensive position is anywhere he is needed and on defense he is a linebacker.
Future plans include working for a summer then go to a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
His parents are Seth and Tiffany Anderson and his high school football coach was Kelly Anthony,
Career football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: 236.5 tackles, 110/785 rushing yards, 2nd Team All League Defensive Player, 1st Team All League Linebacker.
Honors and accomplishments win other sports include Six Trap Shooting Conference Championships from 2020-2023 for fall and spring seasons, as well as one runner-up.
Hobbies and interests include riding horses, roping, leather working, braiding and most sports.

Kaden Arensman, Kinsley, has been selected for the Division II West Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Kinsley Junior-Senior High School and plans to play college sport. His parents are Kris and Dondra Arnesman.
He is 6'2" tall and weighs 200 pounds and is a tight end and defensive end.
He plans to play college sports.
Career football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: All League 3 times Offensive Line, 2 times All State Defensive Line, All District Offensive Line & Defensive Line, 3 times All State first team defense, All 8 Man Team.

Mason Baker, Thunder Ridge High School, has been chosen for the Division II West Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Thunder Ridge High School and plans to attend Evangel University and play football. He will study psychology and someday either become a sports psychologist or a counselor in schools or a church.
His parents are Christopher and Kristy Baker and his high school football coach was Joel Struckhoff.
Career football statistics, accomplishments and honors include 4574 total career yards, 4317 total all purpose yards, 191 total career tackles, 2022 state runner up, 2021 sub-state runner-up, 2022 All NPL 2nd team, 2023 All NPL 1st team, All State.
Team achievements include 2021 & 2022 State Runner-up, 2022 District Champions, Sectional Champions, Regional Champions and Sub-State Champions.

Curtis Barnard, South Central High School, has been selected for the Division II West Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of South Central High School and plans to join the HVAC Union.
His parents are Chris Barnard and Amy Thompson.
Curtis is 6 foot tall, weighs 235 pounds. His position is guard and defensive line.
Future plans include joining the HVAC Union.

Brady Batchman, Sylvan Lucas High School, has been chosen for the Division II West Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Sylvan Lucas and plans to work for Rolling Hills Electric.
His parents are Ryan Batchman and Gwen Wehrman and his coach was Ben Labertew.
He was selected All state MPL, was an honor student, Fusion in Beloit and FFA. Hobbies and interests include hay grinding and farming.

Andrew Bowman, #20, has been selected for the II West Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Bucklin High School and plans to study Ag Tech. His parents are Craig and LynAnn Bowman. His high school coach was Trevor Powell
He is 6'1" tall and weighs 180 pounds. His positions are Wide Receiver and Cornerback.
Career football statistics include 1,061 yards rushing and 866 receiving yards. He was All State Kirk Returner and All League Runningback and Kirk Returner.
Honors in other sports include State Tournament 4th in basketball, selected all league in basketball.

Lane Homewood, Sylvan-Lucas, has been selected for the Division II West game. He is a 2024 graduate of Sylvan-Lucas Unified High School and his future plans are to work on a farm for a few years until he is 21, then enter the Highway Patrol Academy.
His parents are Rockey and Chanda Homewood.
Career football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: 1,900 rushing yards, 39 touchdowns, 1,753 passing yards, 25 passing touchdowns, 209 tackles. James Ryan Littlewood, Minneola, has been chosen for the Division II West Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Minneola High School and plans to attend DC3 for track and football and get his diesel certificate.
His father is Cord Moss and his mother is Erica Littlewood.
He is 5'10" tall and weighs 215 pounds. His offensive position is runningback and defensive position is defensive end.
Career football statistics, accomplishments and honors include Y/G 103.2, 16 touchdowns, 7 T/G, 9 sacks, All League First Team for Offense and Defense.
Minneola was co-league champs, sectional runner-ups, undefeated regular season, and set a new school record for most points in a game.
James was a state track qualifier and placer, was on the President's Honor Roll at DC3. Hobbies and interests include welding, mechanics and throwing for track and field.
He was on the High Honor Roll and President's Honor Roll at Dodge City Community College.

Jimi Oelson, Stafford High School, has been selected for the Division II West Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Stafford High School and his future plans are undecided. Jimi's parents are Mike Oelson and Christine Walton.
He is 6' tall and weighs 175 pounds.
His offensive position is wide receiver and defensive position is cornerback.
Football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: 1st Team All District WR, Top 100 Senior, Offensive First Team All State 8 Man WR, School Record for Single Game Receiving Yards (201 yds.) 1238 Career Receiving Yards (2 years).
Offensively he is extremely quick, runs excellent routes, understands pass concepts and where to attack DB's based on leverage; has great hands - only dropped a handful of passes all season.
Best traits are his leadership qualities. He competes and gives 100% effort in everything that he does always with a positive attitude.
He was very much the team's player with the best attitude.
He was the 8-Man state leader in receiving yards post week 9, he did not play his freshman or sophomore year. He now holds school records for total receptions ad total receiving yards.
Team achievements are undefeated in the regular season and district league champions.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include basketball sub-state champion, basketball sub-state runner-up.
He helped coach rec league twice, built a fence, and just helped around the community.

He is 5'9" tall and weighs 215 pounds. His offensive position is center and defensive position is defensive line. His high school football coach was Mitchell Engelken.
Football statistics and honors include: 2nd Team All League Offensive Line, 2nd Team All District Offensive Line, Honorable Mention All League Defensive Line, Honorable Mention All District Defensive Line. He led the team in tackles with 80.
Stafford was undefeated in the regular season with an 8-0 record in 2022 and was District and League Champions.

Football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: 105 solo tackles, 136 total tackles, 9 sacks, averaged 2.2 tackles per game, 6 pancake blocks, KSHSAA Div II Top 25 players to watch, KSHSAA covered All State/All Class Honorable Mention for offense and defense, Sports in Kansas non-senior top 100 team honorable mention, Sports in Kansas All State Football Honorable Mention 2022, Sports in Kansas offensive lineman to watch 2023, All State Honorable Mention for the Wichita Eagle.
He was selected to play in the Blue-Gray All American Bowl and played at ATO&T Stadium on Dec. 18, 2023.
Hodgeman County made it to the playoffs.
Matthew qualified for state in the Discus his sophomore year and his junior year he was the SPIAA League Champion in discus.
Activities and honors outside of school include Hodgeman Youth Group, FCA, church, 4-H and RESIST.
Hobbies and interests include riding jet skis, camping, playing golf, spending time with family, playing video games and hanging out with friends.
He was class president for 3 years, AB Honor Roll 4 years, and Student Council representative 1 year.

Landon Schmidtberger, Victoria, has been selected for the 8 Man All Star Football Game. He is a 2024 graduate of Victoria High School and plans to attend NCK Tech College for Welding.
He is 6'1", and 160 pounds.
Accomplishments in football include 1,876 total yards, 33 TD's this season, 3 time state runner-up and 4 time league champion and 4 time district champion.
Other accomplishments include going to state in long jump and triple jump.

He plans to attend Pratt Community College for the Lineman program.

Owen Reece, Hodgeman County High School, has been chosen for the Division II West Squad. He is a 2024 graduate of Hodgeman County High School and plans to go to college. His parents are Cary and Kate Reece. His high school football coach was Matt Housman.
He lead the state in passing yards in 2023 with playoff appearances in 2022 and 2023. He is 6'4" tall and weighs 190 pounds. He was quarterback and safety on the high school team.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include 2 time basketball all state second team and 1 time basketball all state honorable mention.
Owen plans to attend college. His parents are Cory and Kate Reece.
Career football statistics, honors and accomplishments include Sports in Kansas 1st Team, lead the state in passing yards in 2023.
Hodgeman County was in the state football playoffs in 2022 and 2023.
Owen enjoys fishing.
