Milton Wehrman, 55

Milton Wayne Wehrman, age 55, left this life to be with the Lord on June 8, 2024, while doing mechanic work at his home in rural Lincoln County. He was born on March 5, 1969, in Frankfort, Germany, to Howard and Suzanne Wehrman while they were stationed overseas. He was the best big brother to Gwendolyn, Heidi, Max, Conrad, and Beth. Milton attended Sylvan Unified Schools from Kindergarten until he graduated high school in 1987, as class president. He still kept in touch with many of his former classmates after all these years.
After high school, Milton attended NCK Technical College in Beloit where he obtained an Associate's degree in Diesel Mechanics. After a 16-year career at Carrico's and farming part-time, he joined his dad and little brothers full-time on the family farm.
Milton's sister, Gwen, had a best friend, Dedra Oetting, who spent much of her childhood over at the Wehrman's where Milton enjoyed pestering her. Little did they know that just a few years later they would be walking down the aisle at the ages of 26 and 28. Their wedding on October 18, 1997, marked the beginning of a partnership, where together they glorified the Lord by serving others. Their union resulted in five daughters: Greta, Aleah, Angela, Whitney and Tressa. Angela and Whitney greeted their dad in heaven.
Those who knew Milton knew he was a "numbers" guy. He didn't need a computer to look up part numbers because he had them all memorized. He had over 1,400 numbers in his contact info on his phone - all of which he dialed on a regular basis. But the most astounding number is the number of lives he touched while on this earth. He was a one-in-a million dad, husband, son, brother, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, father-in-law, future grandpa and friend. Besides connecting with people, Milton had many other passions. He was a pilot and enjoyed flying. Being a member of the EAA Club brought him a whole new circle of friends. He was a dreamer and collector (and consequently left many treasures behind for his family). Another of his passions was figuring out how to fix things, which he could usually diagnose with ease, thanks to the tutelage of his Grandpa Emerald. He enjoyed sharing pictures of sunsets and farming through SnapChat.
Above all, Milton was a servant of God. He attended Bethany Church for the majority of his life and shared his servant's heart with so many. Ultimately, Milton was a good man not because of anything that he himself did, but because of what Jesus did for him on the cross. His desire would be that all of his family and friends would recognize and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Milton is survived by his wife, Dedra; daughters, Greta Fry (Gavin), Aleah Howland (Jake), and Tressa Wehrman; parents, Howard and Suzanne Wehrman; in-law's, Keith and Janis Oetting; brother-in-law, Darin Oetting; siblings, Gwen Wehrman, Heidi Thies (Thurston), Max Wehrman (LeAnn), Conrad Wehrman (Jana), Beth Holle (Orrin); 16 nieces and nephews, Courtney, Logan (Luke), Beau and Brody Batchman; Kariana (Drew), Bronalea, and Beckett Thies; Ben, Brooke and Belle Wehrman; Emma and Eastin Wehrman; Henry, Eli, Magie, and Will Holle; and expectant grandson Baby G Fry.
Milton is preceded in death by his twin girls, Angela and Whitney Wehrman; grandparents, Emerald and Mildred Heller and Milton and Ruth Wehrman.
Celebration of life services will be at 2 PM Saturday, June 15, at the Beloit First Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 4 PM to 7 PM, with family present from 6 PM to 7 PM Friday at the Roberts Family Funeral Home. The casket will remain closed.
Memorials may be given to the Bethany Church.
