Helen J. Howland, the daughter of Marvin Boydston and Mary (Kinghorn) Boydston, was born May 5, 1939 in Pawnee City, Nebraska, and passed away on February 7, 2024 at the Jewell County Hospital-ISB, Mankato, Kansas, at the age of 84.
Helen lived on a farm in Pawnee County, Nebraska, until 1953. She then moved with her family to Formoso, Kansas, where she attended high school and met her husband, Clark Howland.
She was united in marriage to Clark Howland on April 8, 1955 and to this union one son, Terry, was born.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Mary, and one sister, Shirley Grimm.
Helen is survived by her husband, Clark Howland of Formoso, Kansas; one son, Terry (Char) Howland of Denver, Colorado; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Formoso Community Church, Formoso, Kansas, with Pastor Daniel Waide officiating.
Family inurnment will be held at the Balch Cemetery, rural Formoso.
Friends may sign the register book and leave memorials prior to the service on June 15 at the Church.
Memorials are suggested to the Formoso Community Church.
