Connie S. (Weese) Nixon Heater, 82, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Holiday Resort Health and Rehab of Salina, Kansas.
Connie was born on February 20, 1942, in London, Ohio, the daughter of Harold Raymond and Helen M. (Smose) Weese. She had worked as a CNA for over 30 years prior to retiring. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Smith Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Johnny Rodgers; two sisters, June Ann Weese and Dixie Cox; and a grandson, Trenton Nixon.
Connie is survived by four sons, Terry Nixon of Smith Center, Jody (Vicky) Nixon of Salina, Timmy (Connie) Nixon of Smith Center, Darren (Jo) Nixon of Smith Center; a brother-in-law, Jack Cox; seven grandchildren, Coleshe Nixon, Brit Nixon, Jason Nixon, Mikayla Nixon Hall, Cyntila Nixon, Skyler Douglas and Alicia Lindberg; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Connie's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2024, at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 113 S. Madison St., Smith Center, Kansas, with Pastor Jason Nixon officiating.
There will not be a public visitation as cremation was chosen.
Inurnment will take place in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Athol, Kansas.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
