Gary Liby, 59

Gary Dale Liby, age 59 of Glasco, died Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas. Gary was born on February 15, 1965 in Concordia, Kansas, to Jewell Chapman and Lonnie Liby.
Gary was a 1984 graduate of DeQueen, Arkansas. He later moved back to Glasco, and began working at Sunflower/Agco, where he worked for 37 years as a pre-fab machinest. He was a very dedicated employee and continued to work throughout his cancer journey.
Gary was a simple man and content within his own skin and life. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals. Gary was a jack-of-all-trades, and would drop whatever he was doing to help anyone. He was well known for his physical and mental strength.
He is survived by his wife, Jenifer; his mother, Jewell Naumann (John); daughters, Jessica Claycamp (Billy), Jaydra Ott (Coy), and Hanna Ott (Sawyer); son, Derek Liby; grandkids, Caleb and Aubrey Claycamp, and Zoey Liby; siblings, Connie McMillan (Bruce), Wendy Walker (Kurt), David Liby, Scott Liby (Tracy), Greg Liby, Tracy Cooper (Lynn), Becky Bellows (Kris), Leanna Porter (Randy), Pattie Darnall and Ashton Cooper; and an abundance of nieces, nephews and friends.
Though we mourn the loss of a remarkable man, we find solace in the knowledge that he is now at peace.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Saturday, September 7, at the Glasco Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 9 AM until the service begins on Saturday at the Church.
Memorials may be given to the Wichita Cancer Foundation.
