Marjorie Jean Ward, the daughter of Paul and Edna (Runge) Hineline, was born on March 19, 1936 in Ruskin, Nebraska. She passed away on September 5, 2024 at the Superior Good Samaritan Society at Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 88 years, 5 months, 17 days
Marjorie attended school and graduated at Ruskin, Nebraska. Her first ever job was as a cashier in the Oak Grocery Store. Throughout her life she worked as a CMA in several places including the State Chest Hospital at Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, the Superior and Nelson Good Samaritan Nursing Homes and the Edgar Nursing Home. She loved to crochet, spending time with her family and grandchildren, having coffee with all her friends and sister Virginia to learn all the latest news.
She was united in marriage to Darrell Ward on June 7, 1953 at Davenport and this union was blessed with four children.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Darrell; granddaughter, Felisha Ward; and a sister, Mary Lou Hasselman
Survivors include her children. Rodney Ward, Brian Ward and Carmen (Jason) Wahl, all of Nelson, and Jason (Billie) Ward of Glenvil; grandchildren, Melissa Ward of Superior, Lacey (Clint) Holland of LaCygne, Kansas, Miranda (Slade) Krone of Fairfield, Nathan (fiancé Amber Lynn) Breland of Nelson, Nebraska, Brandon (Marissa) of Waco, Texas, Maekayla Ward, Denver, Maekenzy Ward of Beatrice, Colby Ward of Nelson, Natasha (Colby) Frei of York, Natalia Wehrman (special friend Lathem) of Nelson, Chizm Bilbrey of Nelson, Skylar Wahl, Shaylynn Wahl and Jerzey Wahl, Jaslyn Ward of Lincoln, Nebraska, Morgan Weston of Lincoln, and Delani Hult (fiancé Jackson) of Hastings; 12 great-grandchildren, Tye Ward, Oakley Ward, Lane Ward, Wyatt Holland, Grace Holland, Kate Holland, Ridge Krone, Lydia Frei, Ben Holland, Isaac McCall, Lennon Miller, Georgia Miller, Theo Kluse, Oliver Kluse and Lorelei Kluse. She is also survived by her sister, Virginia (Loren) Drohman of Nelson, and brother-in-law, Don Hasselman of Kingston, Oklahoma, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Megrue-Price Funeral Home, Superior, Nebraska. Pastor Royce Schott will officiate.
Burial will be in Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, Nebraska.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 10, with the family present to greet friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home.
