Catherine Seyfert, 97

Catherine Cecelia (Krier) Seyfert was born June 20, 1927 in Barton County, Kansas, to Bill and Clara (Hoffman) Krier. She died Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit, Kansas, at the age of 97.
She married Eugene Seyfert on October 28, 1947 in Claflin. Five children were born to this union. She loved to cook, and was a cook at the Hunter Grade School, and worked at the Hunter Café. She also enjoyed working at the Economy Shop in Beloit. She enjoyed her family and loved to visit with anyone that wanted to visit, even those she had never met before.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; daughter, Shirley; son, Terry; and granddaughter, Sondra Bell.
She is survived by her daughters, Janice (Nick) Kastner of Wichita, Sharon (Larry) Dohe of Lincoln, and Cherie (Jason) Nelssen of Lebanon; daughter-in-law, Julie Seyfert of Beloit; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, October 16, at the St. Boniface Catholic Church in Tipton followed by burial in Greenwood Union Cemetery in Hunter.
Visitation will be from 1 PM to 7 PM Tuesday, October 15, at the Roberts Family Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to the Hunter Community Center.
