Paul M. Sweat, 53

Paul M. Sweat, age 53, of Hutchinson, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at his home in Hutchinson with his companion Carla by his side. He was born on August 28, 1971, in Belleville, Kansas, to Loren M. and Deanna L. (Carter) Sweat.
He graduated from Pike Valley High School in 1989. He later graduated from Cloud County Community College in 1995 and then received his Bachelor's degree from Kansas State University in Ag Econ in 1996.
He worked for Helena Chemical as a branch manager until his health forced him to retire.
He was involved with several agricultural associations and was a life member of the KSU Alumni Association.
Paul was an avid car collector and he and Carla enjoyed camping together.
He is survived by his companion, Carla Bergstrom, Hutchinson, Kansas; his parents, Loren and Deanna Sweat, Jamestown, Kansas; sister, Lynda High (Tim), Topeka, Kansas, and their children, Elvira and Doran High; brother-in-law, Shawn Schweitzer and his children, Mattox, Mya and Jaxton Schweitzer; and his special littles, Indy and Miles.
Paul was preceded in death by his grandparents and a sister, Cynthia Schweitzer.
It was Paul's wishes to be cremated and a Celebration of his life will be held at 2 pm Friday, April 18, 2025 at the Norway Community Center, Norway, Kansas, with Pastor Randy Whitley officiating.
Burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in the Valley Cemetery, Norway, Kansas.
Friends may sign the register book from 9 am to 4 pm Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, Concordia, Kansas.
The family suggests memorials to the KSU Agronomy Department in honor of Paul in care of the funeral home.
