Ralph D. Kearn, age 73, entered into rest on Friday, July 4, 2025 at the North Central Kansas Health Center, Concordia, Kansas.
He was born on August 21, 1951, in Concordia, Kansas, to George W. and Hazel M. (Trowbridge) Kearn.
Ralph was a 1969 graduate of Concordia High School.
On January 9, 1971, he married Phyllis Ann Vignery in Concordia, Kansas. They were united in marriage for 51 years until her passing on August 7, 2022.
Ralph was a former head custodian for USD 333.
He was a past member of the Moose Lodge #1428 and American Legion Post #76.
Ralph enjoyed going to the casinos. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter, Amanda "Mandy" McDaniel, Concordia, Kansas; sons, Phillip "P.J." Kearn (Jill), Concordia, Kansas, and James Kearn (Vanessa), San Antonio, Texas; nine grandchildren, Allissa (Steven) Steier, Zakary (Adrianna) Romo, Kelsey (Trevor) Bouska, Jessica McDaniel, Katie (Robert) Kearn, Kira Kearn, Alex (Molly) McDaniel and Briseis and Bryceson Kearn; great-grandchildren, Raelynn, Hatcher, Haisley, Alora, Athena, Zander, Oakleigh and Creighton; brothers, Donnie (Deb), Bob (Brenda), Tom, Dannie (Deborah), all of Concordia, Kansas; sisters, Brenda Hester, Seattle, Washington, Dorothy West, Mankato, Kansas, Sherry Lewis, Smith Center, Kansas, Debra Mosher (Jim), Concordia, Kansas, and Sandy Ruthstrom, Belleville, Kansas; sisters-in-law, Debbie Bullock (Louis), Grey Eagle, Minnesota, Katie Phelps, Ponca City, Oklahoma, Georgetta Kearn and Diane Kearn, both of Concordia, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; his parents; two sons, Jason and Darrell; brothers, Dennis and Darrell Kearn; brothers-in-law, Don Hester and Mark Ruthstrom; sisters-in-law, Judy Freeman and Pamela Parker; son-in-law, Bill McDaniel; and grandson-in-law, Justin Lord.
There will be no visitation.
Cremation has taken place and to celebrate Ralph the family will be receiving family and friends from 1 pm to 4 pm at Ralph's residence at 211 East Second St., Concordia, Kansas, on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Private family burial of cremains will take place in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, Kansas.
