George William "Bill" Sherlock of Beloit, Kansas passed away on Saturday December 27, 2025 at Hilltop Lodge in Beloit, Kansas.
Bill was born to Lee and Lodema Sherlock [Feidler] on March 8, 1941 in Beebe, Arkansas.
Bill attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Los Angeles, California. Following high-school he attended Pasadena City College where he studied Police Science and Criminal Justice.
Bill married Lila Jean Henry on November 10, 1978.
Bill worked at the Beloit Juvenile Correctional Facility where he retired after a career of twenty-five plus years predominantly as a drug and alcohol counselor and program director.
Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf, reading, photography, listening to music and other activities. He was an avid Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Bill is survived by his wife Lila J. Sherlock, his son Clayton L. Sherlock, his daughter Katherine Tom, granddaughters Stella and Charity, and great granddaughter Hazel.
He was preceded in death by his father Lee Sherlock and his mother Lodema Sherlock.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday January 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the Roberts Family Funeral Home in Beloit, Kansas. Services will be officiated by Graham Taylor, Pastor. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Beloit, Kansas. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials or donations may be made to Heart Choices Pregnancy and Parenting Resource Center Beloit, Kansas and/or Club 86 a substance abuse treatment program also in Beloit, Kansas.
