Mark Bonham, 62

Mark Lynn Bonham was born October 14, 1963 in Sterling, Colorado, the fourth of five children to Charles and Gayle (Phillips) Bonham. After a long courageous battle with cancer, Mark died January 3, 2026 in Beloit, Kansas.

Growing up in Colorado, Mark was known by family, friends and teachers alike as a tireless jokester. Whether in person or on the phone, his goodbye was always followed by a joke and his roaring laughter.

After graduating high school in Colorado, Mark was able to experience world travel with his parents and sister, living in Kenya and visiting Seychelles, Thailand, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Japan, and London.

At an early age, his love of cars became his lifelong passion leading to a successful career as a car salesman. Through his sales achievements he was awarded a three week European trip.

His desire for a slow paced rural lifestyle led him to Beloit, Kansas where after meeting on a Friday the 13th, he married Pam Zachary on Halloween of 2012. Mark was a loyal employee of over 20 years at Landoll Corporation in Beloit. Mark's interests were woodworking, classic muscle cars, and the Kansas City Chiefs. He was able to fulfill his number one item on his bucket list in October 2025 when he attended a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium with his sister Lori, which was a lifelong dream of his since he was nine years old.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, brother Greg, his beloved kitties, BehBeh Kitty, and Mona Lisa.

He is survived by wife, Pam, his kitty Pebbles, sisters, Debbie (Rick), Lori (Paul), brother Steve, and numerous beloved family members.

Mark will fondly be remembered as a wonderful husband, a funny brother and loving son. Celebration of life services will be planned at a later date.
