Smith Center - JoAnn Maxine Hunnacutt, 82, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Smith County Memorial Hospital, Smith Center, KS.
JoAnn was born on August 12, 1943, in Newberg, Oregon, the daughter of Harry Cecil and Sadie Irene (Carter) Rhoades. On September 27, 1963, she married Jack T. Hunnacutt in Smith Center, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Don and Carl Rhoades, a sister Alice Sutten and her husband Jack.
JoAnn is survived by her children, Tracy (Wendy) Hunnacutt of Phillipsburg, Terri (Scott) Basom of Salina, Tyler (Susan) Hunnacutt of Salina; a sister Florence Kistler of Albany, Ore; three grandchildren, Brittany (Robert) Kerns of Auburn, ME, Jonathan Hunnacutt of Phillipsburg, Emma Hunnacutt of Kansas City, MO, and one great-grandson, Gianni Kerns of Auburn, ME.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 7, 2026, at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 113 S. Madison St., Smith Center KS, with Pastor Dennis Lambert officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Smith Center, KS.
