Ronald Lee Sharp, 79

Ronald Lee Sharp, the son of Delbert and Mildred (Bell) Sharp, was born on September 16, 1946 in Superior, Neb. He passed away on February 22, 2026 at the Good Samaritan Society at Beatrice, Nebraska at the age of 79 years, 5 months, 6 days.

Ron was baptized in 2015 at Lovewell Lake. He attended school in Superior and earned his GED. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1968, serving during the Vietnam War, he was stationed in Germany and Colorado Springs. While in the service he was united in marriage to Gloria Disney on July 12, 1969. He was honorably discharged as Sergeant on March 28, 1974. Gloria and Ron had 3 children born to their union.

Ron was employed as an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and was a go kart racer and later stock cars. At age 60, Ron went back to college at Central Community College at Grand Island and graduated with honors with a Business Management degree.

Due to his health he resided at the Good Samaritan Society from April, 2025 to present.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter Marla Ostrander.

Survivors include his wife Gloria of Superior; daughters Mary (JT) Harris of Aurora, and Veronica (Gaylan) Friesen of Hampton; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; brothers Ray (Rita) Sharp of Lucas, Kansas, and Leon (Jacque) Sharp of Texas; sisters Shirley (Larry) McMains of Burr Oak, Kansas, Eloise Berentes of Superior and Pam Reiman Kellogg of Ashland; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
