On September 12, 2020, Randy married the love of his life and true soulmate, Kathrin Terzo of St. Louis.
Beginning in the early 1980s and throughout the next 43 years, Randy promoted agriculture through a myriad of methods while always placing the Midwestern farmer at the core of his regard. His job positions proved his skills in leadership, public relations, strategic thinking, and marketing. Due largely to Randy's strong communication skills, work ethic, and delivered results, his positions within a number of prestigious agricultural companies found him speaking to large and influential crowds in numerous states nationally and countries internationally, as well as touring farms in nearly every state within the U.S. Those companies included FMC, Monsanto, v-Fluence Interactive, Hill+Knowlton Strategies, National Corn Growers Association, and U. S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance. Since 2018, Randy has served as CEO of AgWiki, a global social media platform committed to informing and uniting farmers, researching agronomists, and guiding all people on their food and agricultural needs.
At the start of his teenage years, Randy discovered his love of junior high and high school sports, particularly basketball. He also participated actively in the high school FFA organization, an extension of his several years prior participation in 4-H. Randy also thoroughly enjoyed working on the farm for both his father and a neighbor, Loren Blazek. Around this time, he ignited the torch of magnetic charm that would be his trademark through life. He was friendly and approachable to everyone. No one was a stranger to Randy, just a friend or acquaintance he hadn't spoken to yet. If you were a friend, you were a friend forever who benefitted from hours of two-sided conversation, for Randy cherished listening as much as talking. When and if a conversation turned to a topic of which Randy had intense sentiments, his undeniable wit always eased the discourse to a point of mutual camaraderie.
Randy was passionate about his faith and his family most of all. Time spent with any family member was time he adored. He loved "showing off" his nearly 30-year hometown of St. Louis, and he was ardent in warm feelings for his hometowns of Belleville and Cuba, Kansas. The family farm, recently celebrating 100 years of ownership by the Krotz family, was his forever home, and he additionally held an amorous affection for his mother's home in the Arkansas Ozarks. He also relished hobbies and conversations of sports (especially the Chiefs, Cardinals, and KSU Wildcats), U.S. history, family history, food, the NCK Free Fair, and hunting. Randy's professional life centered largely on the changes in the world, so tradition in his personal life was of utmost importance.
