Sherlyn F. Long, 85

Sharlyn F. Long, 85, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at her home in Smith Center, KS.

She was born on April 7, 1941, the daughter of Albert and Ruth (Pletcher) Schlatter. On June 4, 1961, Sharlyn married Warren Jay Long; he passed away on July 14, 1993.

She was preceded in death by her husband Warren, and two brothers, Jim and Ernie Schlatter.

Sharlyn is survived by two sons, Terry (Katrina) Long of Lebanon, Larry (Ann) Long of Downs; sister-in-law, Marianne Schlatter of Smith Center and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2026, at All Faiths Funeral Chapel, 113 S. Madison St., Smith Center, KS, with Pastor Lance McDowell officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., with family present to greet friends. Burial will take place in North Oak Creek Cemetery, Lebanon, KS. Memorials may be given to the North Oak Creek Cemetery and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
