Johnny Joel Hudson, 65

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Johnny Joel Hudson, 65, who departed this life on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at his home in Minneapolis, KS. He was born in Ada, Oklahoma on June 14, 1960, to Bobby K. Hudson and Mildred LaFaye (Woods) Hudson.

John Hudson graduated from Minneapolis High School in 1978 and moved to Wichita where he married and had his only Child, Bobbie Kay (Hudson) McWhorter in 1983. Over the years he worked at various dealerships as a leading car salesman and dealership manager. He then worked as a Region Manager for Applebee's where he helped open many new restaurants in the Midwest. He then returned to Minneapolis and worked as an inside sales representative for Huyett for 20 years. Later in life he was united with the love of his life Jennifer Lynn Fraser and they were married February 16, 2022, after being together for 20 years.

John was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, known for his infectious laugh, heartwarming smile, enormous fun-loving personality, and unwavering support to everyone he encountered. He never met a stranger and made sure to make everyone feel like they were friends.

John's greatest accomplishments were his grandkids and his family. He loved following them around to all their different sports and activities to cheer them on and rarely missed an event all the way to the end of his life. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, Fox News, various vacations with his family and all sports. Johhny's passion ran deep and he was an avid fan of KU, Chiefs and President Trump.

Johnny's love for the Lord was unwavering, and he and Jen began attending Victory Faith Church of Concordia with his daughter and their family. His greatest wish was to have an opportunity to share Gods love with anyone who needed it so they would be joined with him in Heaven. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." - Ephesians 2:8

John leaves behind his wife Jennifer Fraser, daughter Bobbie (Hudson) McWhorter and Rickey McWhorter (Concordia), his three grandchildren; Madison, Trinity and Colton McWhorter, sister Cheryle (Dave) Hardesty of Minneapolis, KS; sister Sherri (Bruce) Bertrand of Assaria, KS; sister Charlene (Jay) Neilson of Tyler, TX; father-in law Ray Fraser of Minneapolis, brother-in law Mark (Brenda) Fraser of Minneapolis, sister-in law Francine (Manual) Sylvain of Platte City, MO and 16 nieces and nephews, and 19 great nieces and nephews and too many friends to count. He is preceded in death by his parents Bobbie K and Mildred LaFaye Hudson, sister Charlotte Collins and mother-in-law Lorena Fraser.

Johnny will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 29 at Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis, KS at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rick Barrett officiating. We invite all friends and family to join his burial with casual dress attire or KU and/or Chiefs gear to honor him.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory Faith Church or Rock City and can be sent in care of Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home, P.O. Box 606, Concordia, KS 66901. For online condolences, visit www.chaputbuoy.com.
