Harold Milton Sweet, 78

Harold Milton Sweet was born on August 19, 1947 to Everett and Evelyn (Jeppesen) Sweet in Superior, Nebraska. He left for his eternal home with dignity and grace on May 25, 2026 to be reunited with his family in heaven that anxiously awaited his arrival.

Harold was baptized and confirmed in the Union Church in Hardy, NE. He spent his early years on the family farm south of Hardy where his love of farming and caring for family began. He attended Rosemound Country School through 6th grade and graduated from Hardy High School with the Class of 1965. From there he went to Kansas State University where he graduated with Bachelors of Science in Agronomy. After college he was drafted into the Army and spent a year in service before being honorably discharged to come home and run the family farm.

Harold met the love of his life, Vicki Upton, in the Summer of 1975. They were married on June 18, 1977 and began their life in Superior, NE. They were blessed with four children, Jennifer, Kathleen, David and Kristen.

Harold had many loves in his life. These included friends, farming, all things related to Kansas State, researching family history, shopping for anything and everything on Amazon, and drinking coffee with his friends at the Boars Nest. However, his true passion was his family. He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family. Harold had such a kind soul and his generous spirit was felt by everyone that knew him. He never knew a stranger and made friends everywhere he went. Harold saw the bright light in everyone and every act of kindness created a ripple effect in the community. He referred to that as the "Butterfly Effect".

Waiting in heaven are his parents, Evelyn and Everett, his loving wife, Vicki, and his precious son, David. He will be greatly missed by all who survive him, including - Daughters: Jennifer (Trever) Krehbiel, Kathleen (Brent) Frerichs, Kristen (Brock) Corman; Sister: Ann (Larry) Higdon; Grandchildren: Jak, Eva, Ela, and Max Krehbiel; Will and Brady Frerichs; Lilly, Chloe and Braxton Corman; Sister In-law: Pam (Mike) Hoefs.
