Mary Ann Garlow, 82

Mary Ann Garlow was born on July 18, 1943, in St. Joseph, Kansas to Ferdinand "Ferd" and Rose (Donahoe) Derousseau.

She passed from this life on June 9, 2026 at Sunset Nursing Home, Concordia, KS at the age of 82.

Mary attended District #35 Country School while growing up in the St. Joseph community. She was a Clyde High School graduate, Class of 1961. Mary went on to Marymount College in Salina, Kansas for 2 years.

She married Stephen D. Garlow on May 15, 1971, at St. Joseph, Kansas. They were united in marriage for 36 years. He preceded her in death on November 5, 2007.

She worked for 52 years as a skilled clerical and word processing specialist at the St. Joseph Hospital and later Cloud County Health Center, all in Concordia, Kansas.

Mary Ann was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Mary had many hobbies such as sewing, reading, eating her favorite foods, watching tv, and mostly just being free.

She was preceded in death by her, husband, Stephen Garlow, parents, Ferd and Rose Derousseau.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friend, Steve LeDuc, Concordia, KS.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia with Fr. Joseph Kieffer officiating.

A Vigil/Rosary service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, June 11, 2026 at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Home.
