Brian Charles Kinney, 82

Brian Charles Kinney, born on September 20, 1943, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on the morning of August 4th, 2026, in Beloit, Kansas. His journey through life was marked by dedication, service, and a deep commitment to his loved ones and his country.

Brian's early years in Attleboro set the foundation for a life grounded in integrity and perseverance. He completed his high school education and later went on to earn an Associate's Degree in Engineering after retiring from the Air Force, pursuing his interests with purpose and determination. His devotion to service was perhaps most evident in his distinguished military career. Brian achieved the rank of Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force before retiring, a testament to his leadership, discipline, and steadfast character. His years in the Air Force earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and family alike, reflecting his unwavering dedication to duty and country.

Family was always at the heart of Brian's life. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Lamar, and his son, Wayne Kinney. His presence, guidance, and love will remain indelible in their lives. Brian also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, and their children, each of whom held a cherished place in his heart. Their memories and shared moments with Brian will provide comfort and inspiration in the years to come.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret Kinney, whose partnership enriched his life immeasurably. He is also reunited in rest with his father, Seth Kinney; mother, Marian Kinney; his sister, Jackie Desjardins; and his brother, Seth Kinney. Each of them shaped Brian's life and character, and the bonds they shared will remain a lasting legacy within the family.

Throughout his life, Brian exemplified the virtues of honor, resilience, and kindness. Whether in his military service, educational pursuits, or the quiet moments spent with friends and family, his actions spoke of loyalty and humility. He will be remembered not just for his accomplishments, but for the warmth he brought into every room and the steadfast support he offered to those he loved.

Brian's family will be in attendance for interment at the Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth Kansas on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. Arrangements entrusted to Schoen Funeral Home & Monuments.
