Carla Jolene Jeardoe, 76
Carla Jolene Jeardoe was born December 17, 1949 on a farm south of Belleville, KS to Alva and Geneva (Kasl) Jeardoe and passed away at her home in Belleville at the age of 76.
Carla attended Belleville Public Schools graduating from Belleville High School in the class of 1967. Carla later attended nursing school receiving merits as a nurse's aide in 1977, her LPN in 1987 and her LPN-C in 1997.
Carla worked in nursing her entire life beginning in Edgar, NE at the nursing home then working for Good Samaritan Society in Superior and Nelson, NE till her retirement in 2016.
Carla was married to Curtis Carver and to this union Richard and Cindy were born. The two later divorced. Carla married Jerry Bargen for a number of years before their divorce.
She enjoyed many hobbies throughout her life including bowling, golfing, playing cards, and attending many car races around area racetracks. Carla was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary #187.
Carla is preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Geneva Jeardoe, brothers, Delmar Jeardoe and Leonard Jeardoe, sister-in-law Yoshiko Jeardoe and grandson Colton Carver.
She will be remembered by her son Richard E. Carver (Andrea) of Boise, ID, daughter Cindy C. Hewitt of Nelson, NE, aunt Dora Faye Jeardoe of Belleville, KS, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Cremation was selected.
Celebration of Life Services for Carla and her mother Geneva will be held Friday, August 14th at 10:00am at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home with celebrant Waylon Sheetz, officiating. Inurnment will follow at Zion Cemetery, rural Talmo, KS.
Friends may sign the register book Thursday, August 13th, 2026 from 1:00-6:00pm at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home. The family will not be present.
