Robert Budke, 66
Robert Budke passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on January 19, 1960, Robert built a life grounded in hard work, family, and the simple joys that brought him closest to the people he loved.
Following his graduation from Beloit High School in 1979, Robert studied welding at North Central Kansas Area Vocational-Technical School. He was a farmer and also worked for CVA as a sprayer until his retirement in January 2026. His life reflected dedication and steady commitment, and he took great pride in the work of his hands.
Robert found happiness in the outdoors and in time shared with others. He loved hunting and fishing with his friends and brothers, and he especially enjoyed hunting for antlers. Some of his most treasured moments were spent with his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
On May 4, 1996, Robert married Sheryl in a park in Minneapolis, Kansas, beginning a chapter of companionship and love that remained central to his life. One of his proudest accomplishments was purchasing his home shortly after marrying, creating a place that became an important part of the life they built together.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl; his daughter, Jessica Bader Mackay, and her husband, Shane; his brothers, Rodger (Brenda), Rodney (Shauna), Randy (Sandy), and Raymond (Janelle); and his grandchildren, Joseph Bader, Alyah, Katrina, and Alexis Bader Mackay. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends who shared his love of hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Duane, and his mother, Audrey Ball.
Robert will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love of the outdoors, and the warmth he shared with family and friends. His memory will live on in the stories told by those who hunted beside him, fished with him, worked alongside him, and loved him most.
Visitation will be from 1–6 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Roberts Family Funeral Home. A prayer service will follow at 6 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2026, at Roberts Family Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to VFW Post 6242 or Beloit FFA. Contributions may be sent in care of Roberts Family Funeral Home, 910 N. Campbell Ave., Beloit, KS 67420.
