Beloit to host 34th Annual Kansas 8 Man All Star Games
The 34th Annual Kansas 8 Man All Star Football games will be played in Beloit on Saturday, June 8th. The Division 1 game will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Trojan Field on North Hersey Avenue. Pregame will begin at 1:00 p.m. with introduction of the players.
The Beloit Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Pep Rally for the players, coaches and fans on Friday, June 7th, starting at 4 p.m. at Chautauqua Park.

Eli Basvic, Salina, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Solomon High School.
Football statistics and accomplishments include: selected Honorable Mention All State; 2017: defensive tackles - 29 solo, 8 assisted, 37 total; tackles per game 6.2, tackles for loss 2.0, fumbles and blocks 1 RLV, 2 caused; 2018: 86 solo defensive tackles, 37 assisted tackles, 1.5 sacks, 3 fumbles and blocks 25.5 tackles for loss.
In 2015 Solomon was the sub-state runner-up.
Other accomplishments include when Eli won his first ever Mixed Martial Arts Fight.
He is a drummer in the church band. Hobbies and interests include Train, Mui Thai and band.
Activities and honors in school include: National Honors Society, school play, concert band, jazz, and strength and conditioning.
Eli's parents are Base Basvic and Kim Ammons. Hee plans to attend college, study wind energy and play football.

Dakota Bayliff, Medicine Lodge, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Medicine Lodge High School.
Football statistics and honors include: 2018 - Top 5 in receiving yards, all classes; 8Man-1 All Star Wide Receiver, All League First Team, All District First Team.
In 2017 Medicine Lodge reached the 2-1A State Playoffs.
Dakota was selected to the 2017 Cunningham 54 Class All Tournament Team in basketball in 2017.
Activities and honors outside school include 2018 Peace Treaty Pageant and Parade. Dakota enjoys hanging out with friends. going on trips and X-Box.
Activities and honors in school include Teens for Christ, AFS, M-Club, football and basketball.
Dakota's parents are Scott and Amber Bayliff and he plans to attend Avila University, major in exercise science and play football.

Garrett Burden, Medicine Lodge, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Medicine Lodge High School.
Football statistics and 2017: All League Honorable Mention Quarterback and Defensive Back, Honorable Mention 2-1A All Class Back in the Topeka Capital Journal, 2-1A Honorable Mention Non-Senior Team in Sports in Kansas; 2018: All District 2nd Team Quarterback and Honorable Mention Defensive Back, All-League 2nd Team Quarterback and 1st Team Defensive Back, and All-State Honorable Mention Quarterback.
In 2017 Medicine Lodge made the playoffs for the first time in 6 years.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: Basketball - 2017-2018: Honorable Mention All League, Honorable Mention 2-1A All Class Wichita Eagle/Varsity Kansas, Topeka Capital Journal and Sports in Kansas; 2018-2019: T-Bird Classic and 54 Classic Basketball Tournament free throw champion and was named to the T-Bird Classic and 54 Classic All-Tournament Team.
Activities and honors outside school include participating in the 2018 Peace Treaty in the Coronado scene and Wagon Train Scene; flag football coach, 11 year 4-H member serving as president for 4 years, received the 4-H Key Award.
Garrett enjoys hunting, fishing and riding horses.
School activities and honors include football, basketball, baseball and golf, Teens for Christ, M-Club, American Field Service, National Honor Society, class officer, STUCO, band and pep band, class treasurer and class STUCO representative.
Garrett's parents are Michael and Yvonne Burden and he plans to become a physical therapist.

Codie Cannon, Howard, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of West Elk High School.
Football statistics and honors include: 891 total receiving yards, 45 catches, 22 receiving TD's, 27 total TD's. West Elk had 2 undefeated regular seasons, 3 state playoffs, 2 district championships and 3 bi-district championships.
Cody enjoys working with horses and is active in FFA and FBLA.
His parents are JB and Kenda Cannon and he plans to become a certified welder.

Clayton Cook, Atlanta, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Central Jr/Sr High School.
Football statistics and accomplishments include: 253 rushes, 1,873 rushing yards, 37 receptions, 432 receiving yards, 36 touchdowns, 232 tackles, 8 sacks. He was selected All-Area Offense, Defense and Kicker, All State Honorable Mention, and All Area MVP.
Central was regional champions in 2015, district champions in 2017 and district runner-up in 2016 and 2018.
Clayton was featured in the Pre-Game Weight Room Magazine.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include track - 4th state discus, 10th state shot put; powerlifting - 5th state bench.
Activities and honors outside school include 4-H President 2 years, Vice President 2 years, geology grand champion 6 years running.
Hobbies and interests include fishing, forging and hunting.
School activities and honors include Science Olympiad - state qualifier, All League Academic in Basketball and Superintendent's Honor Roll, 4.0 all 4 years.
Clayton's parents are Bob and Stephanie Cook and he plans to attend Dordt University, play football and major in Environmental Engineering.

Jason Fielder, Udall, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Udall High School.
Football statistics and accomplishments include: 2,997 rushing yards, 63 rushing TD's; 883 passing yds., 8 TD's; 695 kick return yards, 2 TD's; 194 tackles 7 ints, 18 pass deflections.
Jason was selected All League Offensive/Defensive Back, All League Returner, All District Offensive/Defensive Back, All-District Honorable Mention Returner and All-State Honorable Mention Offensive Back.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include track - 5th place at state in the triple jump and 400m; baseball - All League Position Player.
Honors and activities outside of school include Sharp Performance Top 100 Camp, VYPE Magazine Letterman of the Month and Player of the Week.
Joshua enjoys watching sports. Activities in school include baseball, basketball, track, football, band and choir.
His parents are Kermit and Selena Fielder and he plans to attend Hutchinson Community College and run track.

Jobe Fowles, Solomon, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Solomon High School.
Football statistics and accomplishments include: 2015: District Honorable Mention Offensive Line; 2016: 16 tackles, 9 solo, 4 QB hurries, 1 sack; 2017: 62 tackles (47 solo), 1 sack, 1 pass deflected, team captain, All State Offensive Line; 2018: 773 rushing yards, 133 carries, 6 TDs, 78 receiving yards, 7 receptions, 91 tackles (45 solo), 13 sacks, 1 int., 5 passes deflected, 3 fumbles caused; team captain, All State Honorable Mention Defensive End.
In 2015 Solomon was sb-state runner-up and league champion with a 10-2 record; 2016: reached 1st round of playoffs and was league runner-up, 6-4 record; 2017: 5-4 record; 2018: State Runner-Up, League Runner-Up, 11-2 record.

Ezra Goodman, Attica, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Attica High School.
Football statistics and accomplishments include: Offense - 695 total receiving yards, 16.2 average receiving yards, 20.4 average per game; 43 catches, 9 TD's receiving, 10 total TD's; Defense - 199 total tackles, 25 sacks; 2017-Honorable Mention All State Defensive End, 2018-Honorable Mention All State Defensive End and Honorable Mention All State Tight End.
During Ezra's career, Attica was one time district, 2 times bi-district, 2 times regional and 1 time substate and state runner-up.
He was a member of the 1A Division II State Basketball Championship team in 2016.
Ezra enjoys hunting and video games. Activities in school include placing basketball and football.
His parents are Roger and Laurie Goodman and he plans to become an electrician in the IBEW.

Seth Greenwood, Burlingame, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Burlingame High School.
Burlingame was was Lyon County League Champion, District 3 Champs, Bi-District Champs, Regional Champs and Sub-State Runner up in 2015, 2016 ad 2017.
Accomplishments in other sports include 3rd at State Basketball in 2017, state basketball competitor in 2018; state track competitor in the 4x100, 4x400 and 300m hurdles.
Activities and honors outside school include member of St. Patrick's Youth Camp.
Seth enjoys spending time with friends, supporting Burlingame teams and anything about computers.
Activities and honors in school include: President of National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Class president all 4 years and a Kansas Honor Scholar.
Seth's parents are Scott and Monica Greenwood and he plans to attend Wichita State University for a business degree.

Christian Hess, Coldwater, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of South Central High School.
Football accomplishments and statistics include: 34 solo tackles, 103 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, 1 caused fumble, 2 fumble recoveries. Christian was selected 1st Team All League Offensive Lineman and 2nd Team All Area.
South Central reached the bi-districts in 2016 and sectionals in 2016-2018.
Christian lettered in track in 2015 and 2016.
He enjoys video games, hanging out with friends and weight lifting.
Activities and honors in school include track, FCA, FFA, football, selected Homecoming King.
Christian's parents are Daniel and Sara Hess and he plans to continue his education at the PCCC Power Lineman Program.

Cody Joslin, Peru, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Sedan High School.
Football statistics and honors include: 2017 - 1013 rushing yards; 2018 - State Playoffs, selected Honorable Mention Runningback.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: Basketball - 2017 Sub-State Champions; 2018 reached sub-state in basketball. He placed 2nd in league track meet in the 100m dash.
Activities and honors outside of school include helping with veteran's fundraising events and working in the family salvage yard business.
Cody likes to do anything that involves science, riding 4 wheelers and working on cars 24/7.
Activities and honors in school include FFA, Letterman's Club, football, basketball and track.
Cody's parents are Heath Joslin and Brandy Coleman and he plans to attend college and study biochemistry.

Logan Krause, Solomon, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Solomon High School.
Football statistics and accomplishments include: 1126 rushing yards, 7.9 yards per carry, 25 rushing TDs, 19 receptions, 215 yards, 4 receiving TDs, 1 pass for 2 yard TD, 70 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, 11.5 sacks, 1 INT (returned for TD), 3 passes defended, 2 fumbles forced, 2 fumbles recovered, 31 total TDs.
He was named All-State Honorable Mention (Wichita Eagle and Topeka Capital-Journal), First Team All-League, 4 year letterman. Named Vype Magazine/Circle of Stars, 8 Man Player of the Year.
Team achievements include: 2015: League Champs, District Runners-Up, Bi-District Champs, Regional Champs, Sub-State Runners-Up (10-2); 2018: Regional Champs, Sectional Champs, Sub-State Champs, State Runners-Up (11-2). It was the first football team from Solomon to go to State in school history, with the winningest season in school history and the winningest class in school history.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: Track - 3 time All-League, 3 time League Champion (boys' team won league back to back), 2 time All-Regional, Regional Champion (2018 200m), All State (4x1 Relay 7th).
Logan enjoys watching movies and TV shows, watching sports, playing video games and working out (weightlifting).
Activities and honors in school include NHS member, FBLA (1 year), Honor Roll.
Logan's parents are Matt and Liz Krause and he plans to attend college, run track and pursue a degree in sports management.

Trevin Lewis, Burlingame, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Burlingame High School.
Football accomplishments and statistics include: 2018: 24 catches for 684 adds, 9 TDs, 28.5 yards per catch (only playing football for 1 year). He was selected All State Honorable Mention, 2nd Team CCC Wide Receiver ad 1st Team All District Wide Receiver.
Burlingame was District and Regional Runner-Up with an 8-2 record in 2018.
Trevin was selected to play in the Flint Hills Optimist All-Star Basketball Classic.
Honors and activities in school include basketball, track, football and Honor Roll.
Trevin's parents are Dax and Christina Lewis and his future plans are undecided.

Masen McDaniel, Attica, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Attica High School.
Football accomplishments honors and achievements include: 2016: Wichita Eagle All State Honorable Mention Line, District 4 1st Team Offensive and Defensive line; 2017: Wichita Eagle All State HM Line, HOPL 1st Team OL and Linebacker, District 4 1st Team DL and Linebacker; 2018: Wichita Eagle All State 1st Team OL, Topeka Capital Journal 1st Team DL, HOPL 1st Team OL, DL/DISI.
Attica was state runner-up in 2015, playoff qualifier in 2016 and regional champion in 2018.
Masen enjoys hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He was on the honor roll in high school.
His parents are Tye and Megan McDaniel and he plans to be an Electrician Apprenticeship and IBEW.

JT Ohlson, Culver, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Bennington, High School.
Football honors and statistics include: Offense - passing 2018-57 of 86 for 880 yards; rushing 1358 yards, 22 TDs; receiving 53 yards, 2 touchdowns; kickoff returns, 394 yards, 2 touchdowns; Defense - 227 tackles, 7 fumble recoveries.
Awards include: Team Captain 2 years, Honorable Mention HOA Linebacker, 2nd Team Quarterback HOA, Vype Magazine Player of the Week 2018-2019.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: 4 year letterman in basketball, sub-state runner-ups; 1 year letterman baseball; 2 year letterman track, state 4x100 relay, 2nd place; basketball captain.
JT is Pleasant Valley 4-H past secretary, treasurer, vice-president and current parliamentarian.
He enjoys breaking horses, hunting and fishing.
Activities and honors in school include: Twin Valley FFA President, Honor Roll 3 years, Academic Letter 3 years, Twin Valley FFA Vice President and Class Treasurer.
JT's parents are Russell and Melanie Ohlson and he plans to attend Kansas Wesleyan University, study biology and play football.

Corbin Rice, Caldwell, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Caldwell High School.
Football accomplishments and honors include: Honorable Mention All State 2017 & 2018; 1st Team All District Quarterback and Defensive Back, 2018; and CTB Sports Radio All Star Team Safety in 2018.
Caldwell was regional football champions in 2017.
In other sports Corbin was a member of the 3rd place State Basketball team in 2017.
He is a member of his church youth group and enjoys farming.
Activities and honors in school include: Vice President of the class of 2019, STUCO, FCA, FCCLA, NHS, Scholars Bowl and Math Relays.
Corbin's parents are Scott Rice and Kristan Wylie and he plans to attend Emporia State College.

Jalen Risley, Caldwell, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Caldwell High School.
Football statistics and honors include: 2016-All State Honorable Mention Tight End, All District Tight End; 2017-First team All State Tight End, First Team All District Tight End/Linebacker, CTB All Star Linebacker; 2018-All State Honorable Mention Tight End/Linebacker, All League Tight End/Linebacker; All District Tight End; Sharp Performance Top 100 Prospect.
In 2017 Caldwell was District Runner-Up, Regional Champion and Sectional Runner-Up.

Hobbies and interests include riding dirt bikes, watching sports, playing video games and playing basketball.

Dylan Schmidt, Caldwell, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Caldwell High School.
Football statistics and accomplishments include: selected 1st Team All State Offensive Line, First Time All League linebacker. Caldwell qualified for the state playoffs three years.
Other sports accomplishments include 3rd and 4th place at Sate in Basketball, two time league champions in basketball, three time regular season league champions in basketball.
Dylan is a leader of his current church youth group with 20 plus hours of community service.
Hobbies and interest include reading, reading about history and working on a farm.
Activities and honors in school include: football, basketball, track and field, Scholars' Bowl and Math Relays.
Dylan's parents are Martin and Jill Schmidt and he plans to attend Fort Hays State University and study business.

Tristen Scurlock, Udall, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Udall High School.
Football statistics and accomplishments include: Selected 1st Team All State by the Wichita Eagle with 43 total tackles. Udall was in the state playoffs 2 years.
Tristen enjoys playing basketball and video games. He was a member of FBLA in high school.
HIs parents are Ray Chance and Christina Scurlock and he plans to coach football in the future.

Daven L. Stutesman, Hamilton, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Madison/Hamilton High School.
Football statistics and honors include: District: 1st Team - Offensive Line; Grassland All-Star - 1st Team; League: 1st Team -Down Lineman; Top 10 Seniors All-State - Honorable Mention; Capital Journal's All-State - Honorable Mention, Line; Wichita Eagle All-State - Honorable Mention - Line; 8 Man All Star Game Selection.
In 2018 Madison/Hamilton was the Lyon County League Champions and Regional Champions.
Activities and honors outside school include 4-H, 11 years, numerous county fair & state fair honors and awards.
Davin enjoys fishing, hunting, roping, working cattle and riding horses.
Activities and honors in school include Class VP 2 years, Honor Roll 4 years, StuCo member and treasurer, basketball 4 years, football 4 years and track 4 years.
Daven's parents are Justin and Dedra Stutesman and he plans to attend Flint Hills Technical College and complete a degree in Automotive Technology.

Austin Watts, Madison, has been selected for the Division I East Team. He is a 2019 graduate of Madison High School.
Football statistics and accomplishments include: Offense - 383 rushing yards, 7.8 average, 38.3 yds per game, 805 total yards; 7-9 passing for 4 TD's and 0 interceptions; Defense - 10 interceptions, 20 pass deflections.
Austin was selected 1st Team LCL Defensive Back-unanimous, 1st Team LCL Flex Player, 1st Team Grasslands Defensive Back, 1st Team District #3 Flex player-unanimous, 1st Team District #3 Defensive Back-unanimous, 1st Team All Area Emporia Gazette, Sports in Kansas 8 Man Top 10 Senior, 1st Team All State Topeka Capital Journal Defensive Back-unanimous.
Madison was co-league champions in 2017 with a 5-4 record and league champions in 2018 with 9-1 record.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include in 2018 he was a state qualifier in the 4x400 meter relay. He was also on the basketball team.
Hobbies and interests include art, parkball, hanging out with friends and Madden Tournaments.
Austin's parents are Ronnie and Jessica Brewer & Heath and Jennifer Watts. His future plans are undecided.
