Ruth E. True, 74

Ruth Elaine (Stigge) True was born July 6, 1945 to Otto and Leona (Beikman) Stigge in Washington, Kansas. Ruth left this life to be with her Lord and Savior on June 23, 2020 in Beloit, Kansas at the age of 74 years.
Ruth attended school and graduated from Washington High School in 1963. She attended Brown Mackie business school after graduation. She met and married the love of her life, Neal True, on February 28, 1965. Neal and Ruth enjoyed 55 years together and their marriage was a perfect example of love and devotion. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Darren, Mark, and Renee. Neal and Ruth owned and operated True Family Center clothing store in Downs, Kansas, for 14 years. After the clothing store closed, Ruth worked at the Alco store in Beloit before working at Beloit Medical Center in Beloit until retirement. Ruth enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles but her favorite pastime was spent enjoying her seven grandsons: Blake, Brady, Kade, Jordan, Corey, Kyle and Kray. Ruth was baptized, confirmed, and married at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Greenleaf, Kansas. Ruth was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Downs since moving there with Neal and their family in 1971.
Ruth is survived by her husband Neal, sons, Darren True and his wife Lori of Beloit, Mark True and his wife Buffy of Salina, and daughter Renee Walter and her husband Allen of Manhattan, grandsons Blake Walter and wife Nicholle, Brady True and wife Kendra, Kade True and fiancé McKenzie Ast, Jordan Walter and fiancé Codi Ebert, Corey True, Kyle True and Kray True. Her brothers Norman Stigge and wife Maureen, Dennis Stigge, sister-in-laws Verlene Schaaf, Donnette Oehmke, brothers-in-law Raymond Beikman, Noel True and wife Linda, Bill True and wife Connie and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law Ernest True and mother-in-law Hilda True, brother LaVerne Stigge, sisters in-law Dorothy Stigge, Jaralee Beikman, LaDean Herrs, Patricia True, brothers-in-law Harold Oehmke, Harvey Herrs.
Visitation with family will be Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 5-7 pm at Zion Lutheran Church Parish Hall in Downs, Kansas. Funeral services will be Friday, June 26, 2020 at 10 am at Zion Lutheran Church in Downs, Kansas. Burial to follow at Downs Cemetery, Downs, Kansas. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Downs, Kansas.
